This week's newsletter is now online. Good morning I'm presenting at a conference this afternoon in Antrim so the newsletter is a bit earlier this week, so early in fact most of the news hasn't been added yet. I'll share again on Monday but in the mean time, have a great weekend. https://sway.cloud.microsoft/mmJiZ66SIWauIGkq?ref=Link

Crisp Packet Recycling Scheme

8th Nov 2019

Castle Gardens Primary School is now collecting crisp packets as part of a scheme run by Walkers in collaboration with TerraCycle UK.

The Eco-Comittee completed a bin audit and identified that a large amount of our landfill waste was made up of crisp packets. Until now they have been very difficult to recycle. The collected crisp packets will be shredded into plastic pellets and then transformed into park benches, watering cans and cooking bags. As a further incentive the school will also receive funding if we collect over 8kg.

We are excited to take park in this environmentally friendly initiative. However, school is not encouraging crisps to be brought in for packed lunches or for families to eat more crisps! We are simply collecting packets that would otherwise have been sent to landfill.

Thank you for all your wonderful support.
