First House Sale Completed in Pinkertons School Project
Earlier this week I received the news that the first house sale linked to the Castle Gardens Pinkertons School Project had completed. This is fantastic news and brings financial benefit to the pupils in our school due to the generosity of a local company. Keep an eye out over the coming weeks as further details will be in the local press.
All families received a flyer earlier this week refreshing how the school project benefits our pupils and potential sellers from a house sale, further information can be found below.
This is a great first step and I would like to express my thanks to Victoria and all at Pinkertons for their support.
Pinkertons Estate agents who are based in Comber and Bangor are supporting several schools within the local community as part of their School Project.
The project will bring not only financial support to our school but also assist children within our reading partnership as members of the company will be giving their time to support pupils in our Key Stage 1 classes on a 1:1 basis to help develop confidence and fluency.
For every house sale that Pinkertons complete and the Castle Gardens school project is referenced we will receive 10% of the fee charged by the company. Furthermore a discount is offered to the seller which means that depending on the support this initiative receives, this could help fund the purchase of anything from ice packs to iPads to interactive whiteboards.
At a time when all schools are facing unprecedented financial challenges this is another example of how we are trying to be pro-active in finding ways to ensure we live within our means and make what we have go a little bit further.
