Leaping frogs and magnetic forces P1

13th Mar 2020

As it is science week P1 have been conducting some experiments. We found out about how static electricity works and how it is made. We had to rub balloons on our heads to made the static electricity and then when we put it over the paper frogs they leapt up and attached to the balloon.

We also learnt about another force that attracts objects called magnetism. We learnt that magnets were surrounded by an invisible magnetic field. We found out through our investigation that not all objects are magnetic, wood and plastic are not magnetic but metal that has iron in it are magnetic.
