Mathletics Successes – October

6th Nov 2023

Lots of fantastic results in October! In September we looked at total points achieved. During October we were looking for accuracy. Where pupils scored more than 85% correct in a task they achieved a Gold Bar. The following pupils were those who achieved the greatest number of Gold Bars in their class. Well done to the following:

P3J - Ellie McKee – 24

P3McC - Madison Clarke - 11

P4B - Silvana Kennedy - 35

P4A - Harley McKee Cherry - 29

P5L - Daniel Wilcock - 38

P5G - Vincent Karel - 23

P6S - D’Anna Bishop - 11

P6G - Charlotte Kennedy - 17

P7T - Mila Rose - 38

P7W - Lucy Monaghan – 47

Lucy Monaghan deserves a special mention as she was the top Mathlete in the UK during part of October in the Mathletics Hall of Fame. Also, P7W were the top class in the UK during one week in October and were placed 33rd in the world. A fantastic achievement!

KS1 Class of the Month for October was Mrs Alcorn’s P4 class who together achieved an amazing 267 Gold Bars – super accurate work! Well done. In KS2 the Class of the Month was Miss Lowry’s P5 class who managed to achieve 297 Gold Bars – brilliant work!

At KS2 Assembly, before half term, the first Silver certificates were given out. Congratulations to Gabriel Swann for being the first in the school to achieve Silver. At October's Whole School Assembly KS1 Silver certificates were given out. (Please note that just the first certificate in each level is printed out!)

It is really encouraging to see the enthusiasm of our pupils as they engage with Mathletics each week and as they get used to the new certificate system. Thank you to all at home for your support and encouragement too – it is very much appreciated.
