Mrs Hutchinson's P4 class in Castle Gardens used Remembrance Day as the focus of their Literacy, World Around us and Art lessons last week. In Literacy the pupils wrote instructions on how to make a poppy then made them during their art lesson. In their World Around Us lessons, the pupils used artwork created during the Loughries Historical Society’s summer scheme to find out about the history of the cenotaph in Newtownards.
