P4/5 Trip to Castle Ward

Today the children in Mr. Stewart's class enjoyed a trip to Castle Ward. They are learning about World War Two as their topic and got to experience a 'snap shot' of what life during the war and as an evacuee child would have been like. They had a fantastic time- bean planting, learning about toys and soldiers uniforms, investigating the contents of an evacuee's suitcase and spending time in the kitchen learning about rationing.
