Today all of P7 had a great morning when Young Enterprise came in to do a session on Our World. Pupils were introduced to Trade and Imports & Exports. They did an exercise called 'The Long Distance Meal' which taught them about the huge distances that so much of our food has to make before it ends up on our table. They looked at specific countries which import and export products and the trading links which exist between them.
Pupils finished their morning with an International Marketing Challenge where each group had a Fantasy Nation and they had to come up with a product to sell, thinking about the place it would be sold, it's price and how they would promote it. We were blown away with their fantastic ideas and it was wonderful to see and hear them working together and bouncing ideas around, before making group decisions.
A really beneficial, informative and fun morning was had by all. Many thanks to Rachel and her team from Young Enterprise for leading this session.
