P7 visit the Ulster Folk Museum
P7 had a brilliant time today at the Ulster Folk Museum at Cultra. We were learning lots about life in the late 1800s and early 1900s as part of our WAU topic on The Victorians. Probably the highlight was 'Lessons from the Past' when the pupils took part in a school lesson under the strict teaching of Master Savage. Another favourite was visiting Ballycultra's local doctor who taught us all about how he would have treated various ailments at that time. Thankfully the rain only came on at the very end of our trip, but we are very thankful to all the staff at the Folk Museum for making this trip such an enjoyable learning experience. Plus our P7s were an excellent bunch to take out - always a pleasure to spend time with them out of the classroom!
