The parent teacher association of Castle Gardens plays a large part in the life of our school.
They plan opportunities that bring family and friends together and raise funds to enhance the experiences of the pupils attending our school.
Last year with your help the PTA raised over £7,500 allowing a further 10 iPads to be purchased for use across school
In recent years the PTA have also purchased interactive whiteboards, iPads, an outdoor jungle gym as well as supported numerous trips for all classes at Castle Gardens.
As school budgets get cut further each year even purchasing the most basic of items become a challenge.
To provide a learning environment that is inclusive, stimulating and relevant for all pupils the funds raised by the PTA are essential.
This year our target for fundraising is £10,000
With this amount we aim to support:
- upgrade of interactive whiteboards
- Purchase of additional ICT equipment
- Upgrading of literacy and handwriting schemes
- Purchase of additional outdoor play resources
The PTA plan to run many events that have proven so popular in the past but we can't run these without your support and assistance.
The PTA are all parents of children that attend Castle Gardens.
Laura Boyd is the new chair with Paul Martin the new vice.
Jill Stevens continues as treasurer with Kate Burgess as secretary assisted by Nicola Magowan.
The PTA is open to all parents and teachers who wish to get involved.
Everybody is welcome and even if you can't make the meetings your help at discos, book fairs or any of the organised events will be greatly appreciated.
Maybe you'd be able to use your business connections to help organise prizes for raffles, treats for the children, sponsorship for sports teams or even assist the organising stalls at the Christmas fair.
Even suggesting new and fresh ideas for fundraising initiatives would be of great assistance.
