I hope you are all well, staying safe and had a lovely Christmas.
You will have read this morning the announcement by the Minister regarding the delayed reopening of schools.
As yet I haven't received any correspondence from the Department or EA and all I know is what is in the media.
With the Minister due before the Assembly today it is best to wait until tomorrow before communicating any firm plans for next week and beyond.
At this stage school is closed on Monday 4th January for pupils as it is a staff development day. This day will be even more important than normal given the uncertainty this morning's announcement has created.
School reopens on Tuesday 5th January for some pupils - who exactly will be confirmed tomorrow.
It is looking likely that we will be asked to provide key worker care again. If this is the case, there will be the same sign up process as we used earlier this year for those families that really need it.
There are so many questions at this stage so further information will be shared tomorrow on our Class Dojo and app so please ensure notifications are turned on.
2020 has been some year!
Even on New Year's Eve it's trying as hard as it can to unnerve and upset us all.
